Jim Jump and Stan Fine, PhD

Jim Jump obtained his MBA from Lindenwood University in 1999 and has taught business, economics, and small business entrepreneurship classes for over 20 years. Jump is a former regional shopping center manager having managed regional malls in Michigan, North Carolina, Nebraska, and Missouri.

Jump hosted is own television show, “The Business Roundtable” for Lindenwood university for over ten years where he interviewed small business owners/entrepreneurs and also hosted a show for the City of Florissant, Mo public access channel on business and human resource subjects.

Jump has written two books, one dedicated to helping small businesses start-ups entitled, “Quick-Start Business Planning Guide and Workbook” where he also assists individuals in securing small business start-up loans and a second book dedicated to helping college aged students navigate career planning entitled, “Career Smart Career Planning Guide”. Jump is a native of Michigan and is an advocate of small business entrepreneurship.

Dr Stan Fine PhD

Dr. Fine holds a Ph.D. in Business Administration from the University of Washington. Dr. Fine has held Director of Marketing positions with divisions of General Dynamics, United Technologies, Lucent Technologies, and as a Senior Manager with Grant Thornton.

Stan has hosted radio talk shows for the last 10 years on KXEN 1010AM, WGNU 920AM, KSLG 1380AM and is currently hosting the “Business Inside and Out Show” on KWRH 92.9FM on Thursdays at 10:00 a.m. in St. Louis.

Dr. Fine has published two books dedicated to helping small businesses grow. “Business Boot Camp for Women” and “How to Promote Your Business with Little or No Money” with Author House Publishing. In addition, he has taught business management seminars for Inc. Magazine nationwide. Over the past 15 years Dr. Fine has been helping small business owners grow their businesses by developing strong marketing and sales programs. Fine has taught numerous seminars at Webster University and St. Louis Community College.

The program targets all cultures and genders. It celebrates special holidays, events and specializes in ethnic events not limited to sports, conventions, seminars and provocative subjects others dare not to touch. It is referred to as the Anchor Public Affairs Programming on Saturday evening. When people want to reach specific markets, they want to be on “Guess Who’s Coming to Kansas City!” The show publicizes issues that impact the Minority Community, encouraging the pursuit of positive solutions. MC Richardson, host of “Guess Who’s Coming to Kansas City,” has been a volunteer with KKFI since 1994. He currently chairs the News and Public Affairs Committee and is a Programmers Representative. Mr. Richardson established the Minority Broadcast Academy, the Minority Journalism Program and the Minority Opinion Poll.

  2. Provide civic organizations the opportunity to offer services to benefit the local and international listener.
  3. Provide entertaining and informational programming, community events and marketing that will, in some way, benefit the local and international listener.
  4. To be a positive force in the community for all.

Vision

  1. Become the premier internet source for St. Louis, St. Louis County and surrounding counties informational and entertainment programming.
  2. Become a vital part of the North St. Louis Community.
  3. Become a “go-to” resource for community services.
  4. Build relational bridges among the positive forces within the community and become a force of change to improve the reputation of the City and surrounding counties of St. Louis, Missouri.

Goals of Ferguson USA Hot Talk Internet Radio Station are as follows: (Some goals have been postponed due to societal changes with the CV-19 Pandemic)

  1. 3 month goals (Milepost: 1 November, 2019)
    a. To create relationships that produce financial support to be fiscally sound for the daily operation of the internet radio station (Ongoing)
    b. To relaunch the content in a limited manner, i.e., 20 hours of programming per week. (20 Jul 20 update- 7 Broadcast hours per week)
    c. To attract competent broadcast engineering assistance familiar with the current broadcast software and hardware to troubleshoot difficulties encountered by hosts (20 Jul 20 update - After upgrading to digital format, Scott Owen is mastering the troubleshooting skills)
  2. 6 month goals (Milepost: 1 February, 2020) (20 Jul 20 update- Milepost has been moved to 1 Dec 2020)
  • a. To populate the schedule of programming from 0800 to 2200 with 1 to 2 hour committed hosts interested in contributing to the community.
  • b. To ensure that these hosts are competently utilizing the broadcasting equipment and software to optimize the messages they are trying to convey.
  • c. To promote a culture of cooperation among hosts that allows cross-promotion of shows, sharing of knowledge and mentor/mentee relationships in internet radio broadcasting
  • 1 year goals (Milepost: 1 Dec, 2021)
    a. To have the ability to compensate hosts for their diligent work on programming a wage appropriate for radio hosts
    b. To host a community event that brings a minimum of 100 people together for a purpose, whether service, networking or entertainment.
